Philadelphia VINetching – September 12

The Philadelphia Major Crimes Auto Squad will host two VINetching events on Saturday, September 12, 2015.

VINetching is the process by which a car’s vehicle identification number (VIN) is “tattooed” onto all of the windows. This deters thieves from stealing the car because if they were to try to resell it, they’d have to replace all of the glass on the vehicle. The process takes about 15 minutes.

The public is invited and encouraged to bring their vehicles to either location for a FREE VINetching.

5900 Broad St. in front of the 35th District, 10am-5pm

7300 Bustleton Ave (Target Parking lot) in the 2nd District, 10am-2pm
