Morgantown, W. Va. VINetching (Free to the Public)

AAA of Huntington W. Va will host a free vehicle identification number etching event.

The VIN Etching event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 in the AAA East Central parking lot at 482 Suncrest Towne Centre, Morgantown, WV.

The event is free for AAA members and the general public. No appointment necessary; however, you will need to register with the front desk upon arrival at AAA to secure the service. For more information, call 1-304-598-7470.

VINetching is the process by which a car’s vehicle identification number (VIN) is “tattooed” onto all of the windows. This deters thieves from stealing the car because if they were to try to resell it, they’d have to replace all of the glass on the vehicle. The process takes about 15 minutes.
